Greater Los Angeles

Since 2022, this group has brought the queer community together across LA’s sprawling geography.

Upcoming Events

One of the best ways to connect is by joining us at an upcoming event.

How It All Began

As the second largest metro area in the United States and a center of the design, construction, and real estate industries, it was only natural to expand west. Though the sprawling geography of LA makes it a challenge to bring people together to support our mission, we find that actually makes it all the more important!

Trenton Cohen

After attending his first Build Out Alliance event in 2023, Trent asked how he could help with the organization. Following two successful years co-leading our Professional Programming Committee, Trent now serves as the Co-Chair for our Greater Los Angeles group. As a civil engineer specializing in tunnels, Trent has spent plenty of time on job sites and in project offices. Having often been the only queer person in the room—or on the construction site—he is deeply passionate about ensuring no one else feels isolated. Trent is dedicated to making Build Out Alliance a vibrant home for queer and ally professionals to find the resources, resilience, and meaningful connections they need to thrive.
