Chicago: Guided Bird Walk at Montrose Beach

  • Montrose Point Bird Sanctuary 200 West Montrose Harbor Drive Chicago, IL, 60640 United States (map)

Our Chicago group is trading the concrete jungle for the serene trails of Montrose Point Sanctuary to witness the world-renowned spring bird migration. Whether you’re a seasoned birder or just looking for some fresh Lake Michigan air, you can expect a guided, relaxing walk through the city's premier migratory hotspot followed by a casual social hour to share what we’ve spotted.

To make sure you’re ready for the trails, we recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes suitable for both paved paths and natural terrain. Don’t forget to pack your essentials like water, sunscreen, and bug spray to keep you comfortable while we explore our planned route. While we’ll provide the guidance, we highly suggest bringing your own binoculars to get the best views of our feathered friends—we recommend these as a great budget-friendly option for those looking to gear up!
