Our San Francisco Bay Area group is heading behind the scenes for an exclusive look at the city’s largest wastewater facility project! This tour of the SFPUC Biosolids Digester Facilities Project (BDFP) is a unique opportunity to experience an active construction site firsthand while connecting with queer and ally professionals in the built environment. Attendees will gain practical industry insight by exploring real-world project workflows and the design considerations required for large-scale infrastructure, all while fostering community visibility and belonging. You can expect an engaging, on-site walkthrough led by project professionals, providing a deeper understanding of the construction process and a chance to empower your career through new connections in an affirming, real-world setting.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided. You must bring sturdy, closed-toed shoes and socks, long pants, and long-sleeved shirts. For your safety, flip-flops, sandals, open-toed shoes, shorts, skirts, or tank tops are strictly prohibited. If you are not wearing the appropriate attire, you may be prohibited from taking the tour.
Visitors must be over 21 years old and must present a valid, government-issued photo ID.

Directions & Logistics
There is a security gate at the intersection of Phelps Street and Jerrold Avenue that all visitors must pass before entering the jobsite. Then go down Jerrold Avenue and turn left on Quint Street to reach the BDFP parking lot. The MWH/Webcor trailer is located next to the parking lot.

MWH Constructors and Webcor Builders as a Joint Venture (MWH/Webcor, JV) selected to deliver the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) Biosolids Digester Facilities Project (BDFP) at the Southeast Treatment Plant. MWH/Webcor, JV oversees the procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning of the facility.
